Concerns raised over loss of Chester and Holyhead trains Welsh Transport Secretary Ken Skates has called for the Office of Rail and Road to reverse two timetable changes affecting North Wales and border rail services. The decision by the rail regulator would reduce Avanti West Coast’s direct services from Chester to London Euston, and cut the Sunday Holyhead to Euston service, as part of the December timetable update.
