my metric for "is his piece of media good" is generally 1) does it have a defined purpose and does it fulfill this purpose 2) is it using the tools at its disposal efficiently and in sync with its purpose. that said, even when I decide something is good, I may very well still dislike it

Worked up a poster for Sinners - that cross section of horror movies, period pieces, and roots music checks an awful lot of my boxes, and heavens but it was beautifully made.
