The village of Blatten in Switzerland is partly buried by the collapse of a glacier which melted because our greenhouse gas emissions warmed the climate. Another reminder that choosing to not invest enough today to reduce emissions means far greater costs for society in the long term.

Coal is nearing its end in the EU electricity mix 📉 10 countries were already coal-free and a further 6 countries had less than 5% coal power in 2024. Even Poland – the EU’s most coal-dependent country – saw coal power fall to 54% in 2024, down from 70% just 2 years ago.
