My ma hasn't seen the same film in the cinema twice since the projector broke during The Sixth Sense and she had to go back (after she had the end spoiled for her.) Today we're back for our 2nd viewing of Better Man. Americans might not have a clue but Pam is obsessed.

How have I not seen this before!? It's silly and a tad bit cheesy at times but Jesus I loved it.

I love Tubi because for every absolute belter of a film there's also stuff even the pound shop won't stock because it's a load of bollocks.

How are your 2025 releases looking? These are all released in the UK in 2025. What a start to the year. Also it's 3x for Nosferatu. I adore it.

I've decided that when I buy my own cinema, I'm going to hire the aliens from Quiet Place to sit at the front of the screen and let them have free roam. Rustling? Dead. Talking? Decapitated. Easy.

Nosferatu for the third time tomorrow! Can't wait to see my man go absolutely ape shit yet again. Feels like this film is 2025's Late Night With The Devil.

There are a lot of benefits to teaching Film Studies. One of them is getting to watch this as part of my job, as well as introducing it to about 80% of my class who've never seen it before.

Thanks to Tyneside Cinema I got to see this in 35mm and I'm going to be totally normal about it. As good as The Witch. Eggers is on another level. Let's see if I can get to see it at least once more before it leaves the big screen.

Platinum number 89 is Uncharted 3. By far the most frustrating of the franchise because it's so desperate to do something different. Loved the story though and yet again, set pieces and settings were insane. Similar trophy list to before with some cool extras.

I'm just trying to check off as many of the 24 films I haven't seen before the end of the year. I put Madame Web on. THERE'S STILL 45 MINUTES LEFT. I feel like I started this film in 2007. Whoever greenlit this needs slapping. Whoever decided on a 2 hour run time needs psychological evaluation.

Cannot recommend this enough. Just clearing up some of my 2024 watches before the end of the year and gutted I didn't get to this sooner. It's funny, it's touching, it's SO well made. More of a comedy/drama that lives in a horror world and absolutely worth your time.

If you fancy ruining your day in the best way possible, Red Rooms is for you. Bleak with a capital B. An uncomfortably close look into obsession with true crime and a life lived online. Went in as blind as possible and was not let down. Top class. #FilmSky

I really like the second 50 minutes of Heretic. I LOVE the first hour. So much to read into. Cinematography is blindingly good. Hugh Grant's insane performance is only bolstered by Thatcher & East also pulling it out of the bag through fear and being utterly believable.

Not content with simply using my laptop to watch a film on, Mavis decided to use it as a paw warmer as well. Weird little creature. The absolute best but still a complete weirdo.

Do you know what I love about Creep Tapes? @markduplass.bsky.social could have gone safe & I'd have watched it regardless. Instead he's gambled on episodes being so different. Some more meta, some going into a kind of backstory. All of them, absolutely class. Duplass is a genius. Hail Peachfuzz 🐺

The use of Golden Brown in Snatch is one of the most perfect uses of music in any film. It's physically impossible for me to hear that song and not hear/say "Tommy, the tit, is praying. And if he's not, he fucking should be." Perfect.

Spider-Man 2 for my 87th platinum. Love these games and will definitely go for NG+, maybe after getting the PS5 version of Spider-Man's platinum. Had some fun with photo mode, collected some stuff, beat up some enemies. New York looks incredible, traversal has never been better. Class 🕷️
