one thing i hate in a lot RPGs is when they don't state exactly how strong attacks are and how different buffs interact with the damage forumla. there's no elegant solution to this since i know they don't want players to be turned away by scary numbers but "Deals big fire damage" means nothing to me

I keep hearing that the splat 3 devs keep catering to comp players but idk i don't feel very catered to tbh. if you want to cater to me all you need is strong matchmaking for ranked queues and regular balancing *that make sense*. it doesn't take much yet the devs seem to fail even there.
