The current situation at the University of Dundee is that we are not getting our annual pay increase and that promotion processes are paused. At the same time the uni is refusing to rule out compulsory redundancies, it is advertising over 20 new senior management jobs for academic staff.

Today, we are out on strike again to save our jobs and tap the sign that Scottish (and in extension UK) Higher Education is not doing well, largely due to financial mismanagemement. This is all currently put on display by our Union reps in the Scottish parliament ⬇️ @ducuuo.bsky.social

Stats on #bodybrain #neuroskyence data can become non-trivial pretty quickly: Anything beyond t-tests on 'systole vs diastole' or 'insp vs exp' will include some form of phase binning, so we need adequate surrogates for robust permutation stats. Plus, these are not available for circular data.

Our members have voted to support industrial action to fight against job cuts passed today! In the ballot our 72% of members were in favour of strike action, and 90% in favour of action short of strike. Turnout was 58%. Thank you to all members, reps and officials for helping us get the vote out.
