The second is about our need to not only rebuild Ukraine physically but also rebuild a potentially lost generation of children that have been abducted and forcibly transferred to Russia by a genocidal dictator.

Thanks to the slightly irritating limit of 60 second videos on here I am having to link to my Facebook page to publish my speeches at Lib Dem Conference in Bournemouth. The first is about how Hong Kongers should have the right to pass on their language freely and without fear.

Honoured to meet with visiting members of the Japanese Diet, Mssrs Edano, Funada and Koichi. We discussed the opportunity to strengthen Japan-UK relations at a time when our liberal democracies feel under threat. We also shared our experience of the role of parliament in scrutinising government.

The fundamental is that things become a lot more simple, equitable and efficient if things are done as part of a standard process. Understanding how each kids learns and the support they need should be part of the education system.

Calls for better late night buses to help keep city's nightlife alive and people safe
The city council should โignite the nightโ by supporting businesses and residents to get out and โfuel Sheffieldโs night time economy,โ says a leading Liberal Democrats councillor.

Statehood is not conditional upon the actions of other states. Palestine is either a state or it isn't, it shouldn't be dependent on the whims of an untrustworthy government lead by Netanyahu. Disgraceful that Starmer uses it as a bargaining chip.

The Liberal Democrats welcome this first step but urge Keir Starmer to go further and recognise Palestine immediately. Far greater action is also needed to address the humanitarian disaster in Gaza, including fully ceasing arms sales and imposing sanctions on the Israeli cabinet.

"Democracy Dies in Darkness" Politicians and journalists have a tense relationship but we shouldn't relish when journalism suffers. In the world of AI and disinformation the need to have someone able to investigate and find the truth is important. This is shortsighted and deeply worrying.

I was suspicious when Labour made zero mention of lifelong learning in their manifesto. It has now been confirmed that they don't care. In a changing world there is increasing need to upskill and reskill in the workplace, which is now a lot harder thanks to Labour.

This is what you get when an ideological void with no political backbone becomes Prime Minister, a speech that would have sounded harsh coming from a Tory happening purely because they are terrified of local elections results.

Stopped in on Saturday to visit the exhibition of Quilts for the Longest Day. With help from the East Ecc ward pot and Ecclesfield Parish Council, these quilts were able to be created to donate to veterans as part of VE Day celebrations.

Deeply stupid. It isn't perfect but NATO's Article 5 has kept Europe safe for decades. Trump's election should mean that we step up to the plate, not throw in the towel. If this is the future of the Green Party then I am glad I am a Lib Dem.

Liberal Democrats have overtaken the Conservatives at these local elections. Now we're on track to replace them next General Election as well. People have put their faith in us because they are appalled by the Conservatives lurching to extremes and cosying up to Nigel Farage.
