Excellent Ed Davey visit to the North West. Talking to SEND parents while I ‘guarded’ the cake followed by some canvassing of course. End a very long week of travelling and work for me. First night without meetings tonight and I intend to do absolutely nothing.

Finally home after 3 days of travelling and photographing around Wales. Great fun to catch up with my former ALDC colleague Glyn who will be a fantastic member of the Senedd 🗳️

Long day working, & dodging the rain, in Wales today Happy the Govt has u-turned on the cancelling of the May elections but I’m gobsmacked by the incompetence of the Labour govt. Ah well, as the only party that can mathematically remove Labour from power in Preston, onwards Lib Dem soldiers!! 🫡🔶🗳️

Full day with team Stockport today, canvassing in Bramhall in the morning followed by meetings, fighting RISO gremlins and my first trip to Stockport town hall to work with the councillor group.

One month into the new job & I’m absolutely loving it. So many brilliant volunteers, cllr & staff. Although I’ve lost count of the number of spreadsheets I now use 📊 Fate even threw in a snap Parliamentary by-election for me to look after I’m lucky to have a job in something I’m passionate about

Back from the hospital to find Norman has eaten a box of eggs 🥚- to be fair I’ve seen worse behaviour from humans today 😆

After a rough week of grim family news it was nice to ignore the world for an evening. I did re-enter reality with 60+ messages though 😆 First ever 40K game at Element Games Incredible place, friendly staff, top atmosphere. Cheers Richard for an awesome game against his Necrons 🤖

First ever game of Warhammer Kill Team done tonight 🎯🔫 Came away with a 15-11 victory against the Death Watch despite really struggling to remember any ploys and buffs I had available. Quality game though

467 days to polling day!!! Preston council may not have anymore elections 👎 but we are already out campaigning for the new unitary council elections in 2027 🗳️

Just been announced that Preston’s elections in May have been cancelled at the request of the local Labour Party. As the leader of the largest opposition party in the city we are disappointed at this decision. Lots of residents in our canvassing are saying it stinks of them running scared.

Canvassing with Julie in Cadley followed by meeting Mabel the Labrador and then a german treat 🇩🇪 for tea 🌭

Labour might chicken out of the elections in May but we’ll keep campaigning all year round as always. If we don’t get the chance to beat them in May it will just give us more time to beat them even harder in 2027 💪 Fantastic first Preston Lib Dem action day of 2026. Amazing squad of people

2025 comes to an end…Lib Dems top the number of by-elections victories 🔶 It’s also the first time since the 80s that the Lib Dems have beaten both Lab and Con in terms of victories in the NW region in the same year 🗓️ Excited for the year to come 💪

4 years ago today I was on the front cover of the Lancashire Post as part of the Lib Dem campaign to get new schools built in Preston. A few months later in 2022, I proposed a budget amendment to fund the new high school build.

Another narrow victory (by 2pts) for my Imperial Fists Space Marines. Still making newbie mistakes but a fab game with Bailey. Ended up with just 4 models on the table in total ☠️ My Land Raider tank once again got destroyed without firing a shot 🤣

Nice to get out and some canvassing in the South Ribble by-election. Loads of appreciation for the decades of hard work by the local Lib Dem Focus team 🔶

Fab night out with university friends (24 years and still going strong) After 8hrs of fun and good times I got a tap on the shoulder “Are you the leader of the Lib Dems?” - slightly nervous after belting out Teenage Dirtbag in Hopwoods 🤣

Final council meeting of the year is done…luckily I have a pallet full of new Focus leaflets to keep the team and I busy over the Xmas period 😆 👣 📬
