Got my second infusion yesterday,and the difference was night and day. They first gave me benadryl and a steroid, then the rituximab. Still took about 5 hours total, but they say next week should be shorter. I don't know if it's the steroid or the medicine, but I'm definitely feeling better.

So I got my first infusion on Monday. Rituximab. I got the "shivers", as they call it, what a horrible feeling. After that the rest went ok. Took about 6 hours, and I was sick as a dog for about 12 hours afterward. I feel way better now, and I've been told the next one will be easier. Here's hoping

Went in for the meniscus repair this morning, it went better than expected. Next is the cancer treatments, they'll start this coming Monday. Maybe the tide is finally turning my way. Stay tuned.

Health update: The oncologist says that the type of lymphoma I have is treatable with an infusion, one day a week for 4 weeks, then repeat after 6 months, 4 sessions total. We'll start treatments after I get surgery to repair the torn meniscus in my knee. So that's good news, I guess.

I think King Charles is going to cancel his visit to our country.

Maxwell is gonna get a pardon. No doubt in my mind.

I saw an osprey today and started to cry. When Rosie and I saw that the ospreys were back, we would put the day's plans on hold and we would drive the beach road from Woods Hole to Falmouth Heights and check if all the nests were occupied. So that's what I did. Cried the whole way. I miss Rosie.

So here's the latest. The oncologist thought at first that I had "chronic lymphocytic leukemia ". Turns out that's not the case. Now he's thinking that it's some kind of lymphoma. Took another blood test yesterday (#6) and today I got a CT scan to check my lymph nodes. To be continued.

So Noem's gone, and Bondi's gone. Who's next? I'm saying Hegseth, then either Kennedy or Gabbard. I think Miller's gonna hang on for awhile.

I went for my "annual wellness visit " to my pcp in January. They found abnormalities in my bloodwork. Long story short, I'm going to an oncologist this morning for a final diagnosis. I'll post an update later. Wish me luck.
