It is utterly astonishing how many charities in Ireland are expected to fill the gaps in public provision. From schools relying on parents’ “voluntary contributions” to health services relying on any number of charities. It’s bonkers.

Instead of taking on the problem at the source, the government is trying to say "not our problem" by banning under 16s on social media. We must fight the problem at it's source - we need turn off these toxic algorithms. We need to pass the "Online Safety (Recommender Algorithms) Bill 2025".
