Ich würde nie „KI“ in einem unkritischen Sinn gebrauchen, weil, wie du richtig sagst, man damit immer schon den damit verbundenen Versprechen auf den Leim geht. Deshalb finde ich präziser, die technischen Systeme zu benennen, weil man damit die Funktion beschreibt, nicht ihr Science-Fiction-Projekt.

Was mich aktuell an der Uni so ankotzt, ist, dass wirklich alle „die KI“ sagen, aber LLMs meinen. Ihr seid total auf das Marketing dieser Firmen reingefallen.
