Americans rightly want a more efficient fed govt that works better for them. Elon knows this and wants an image of broad, even radical, “reform.” He welcomes outrage. Dems should respond not by coming across as status quo defenders, but by showing how Elon’s actions actually make govt work worse.

The single issue most responsible for Trump’s victory: high cost of living. Now, after last week’s EO to raise Rx drug prices, Trump halts all federal funds for things like low-income food and heating assistance. Farm aid. Rent support. Medicaid. He’s actively using power to raise people’s costs.
