In 2005 a Museum of London community archaeology project excavated a WW2 bombsite beneath Shoreditch Park in Hackney. I volunteered on the dig and recorded interviews with local residents about their memories of the area in wartime.

A very brief search though the Epstein files has some interesting insights about his interest in archaeology. It’ll take a bit to untangle his personal connections and funding initiatives but it is clear Epstein had strong interests in archaeologies of cultural evolution and environment adaption 1/2

Today I finally managed to view a VHS tape documenting the Isbister / Tomb of the Eagles excavations and concrete cover house construction in 1997-88. Quite an eye opener in terms of reconstructing the site! Thanks to staff at HES for making it happen!

Niche question but my brain and a search of the literature is failing me - what examples do we have of cursus monuments with clusters of arrowheads at the terminus ends? I feel like this is an oft-repeated 'fact' but don't know any sites where this is the case.
