Snettisham finds in Norwich Castle are mainly from the first discoveries from 1948 ploughing - hoards A (the tubular torcs), B and C (which were mixed hoards of broken material). You can read about the torc finders here:

, we're visiting 1 Home Farm Drive, part of the Upton House estate. A former farm outbuilding, it was converted in the 1930s by the owners of the estate, the Bearsteds, for their family Rabbi to live in.

Between 1828-9 Samuel Hasell excavated a villa at Pitney
#Somerset
Sheds were built to protect the villa but sadly they had gone by 1836 and so had the mosaics 😞 All we have left are lithographs like this one by Hasell of Cadmus thrashing a python* *don't Google this 😬 Happy
