Bungay Castle in Suffolk began as a medieval motte-and-bailey castle, with stone fortifications added in the 12th century. Today, its ruins still sit in the centre of Bungay, enjoyed by the local community and protected as a Grade I listed building. What was the first castle you ever visited? 🏰
