Plenty still wrong at the BBC with it's continued platforming of Reform and not reporting on Nathan Gill let alone challenging Farage his Russian links or questioning Johnson over the COVID inquiry. But John Simpson still can be relied on to publish some truth.

“Did Nathan Gill ever say anything you disagree with in return for his bribes from a Kremlin stooge?” “Did you, in your roles as his boss, friend, mentor & party leader, ever question his full-throated support for an enemy of the UK and if not, why not?” You can have those for nothing, lads.

Rachel Reeves is studiously ignoring the cause of Britain’s woes: the Brexit-shaped hole in its roof | Jonathan Freedland
The autumn budget will mop up some damage, but the true source of the economic crisis is clear. The government should now fix it – tragically, it won’t, says Guardian columnist Jonathan Freedland

BBC News is fucked. They've spent a decade pretending to portray 'balance' while massively publicising the most insane views of the RW. In 2012 I trusted BBC News. Nowadays I don't even trust the BBC News clock to be accurate.

If Trump sues the BBC for slander or libel, it would be in a UK court. As far as I know, UK laws would require: 1. Trump prove the report did harm to his reputation (which it didn't). 2. The BBC prove he incited an insurrection (which he did). ... So all he's trying to do is intimidate broadcasters

Next General Election will be Labour trying to fight off the Greens. I said at the last GE that if there was PR, the greens would have been the main opposition party as their support in the 24 years and group would surge. The only way for Reform to win the GE is if the Greens just split Lab vote

Fascinating that this is the issue that Mr Davey and the LDs have focussed on. A comprehensive CU would be a big achievement for the UK. But it is not like membership or even the single market. If the UK were to do this, it should ask to come under Europe's suite of trade deals

One of the most refreshing things about the Caerphilly by-election result was the stark contrast between voters’ actual views and mainstream media reporting or Reform’s social-media boosterism. Media, how about more genuine reporting instead of lazy output based on X’s biased algorithm?
