It’s very cold and rainy/borderline slushy outside, but well over 50 people have turned out to Portland City Hall to protest the city issuing Zenith Energy a Land Use Compatibility Statement earlier this week.

This morning, the City of Portland officially processed a Land Use Compatibility Statement (LUCS) for Zenith Energy, a Texas-based fossil fuel company operating out of NW Portland. The LUCS paves the way for Zenith to obtain permits from Oregon DEQ and expand operations in Portland.

Buckle up! We're mobilizing at City Council on Wednesday morning to protest Mayor Wilson (and his senior administrators) ramming through new approvals for Zenith without a public process. As it happens, council will be discussing the futures of these same officials if you want to testify.

The City of Portland is just hours away from granting known climate villain Zenith Energy a Land Use Compatibility Statement.
