Passengers of the Night [2022]🇫🇷.

Sigh, just seen one of those big Twitter accounts that came here when folks were jumping ship. Lots of posts about finding mutuals, looking back at how fascist X got. Stopped posting 2023. Still on X.

Watched The Onion's Jeffrey Epstein documentary, very very funny and a pity they can't do these more often! Great deadpan spoof of every true crime docu you've ever seen, plus, hilariously, The Last Dance

Comencé a mirar la serie belga "Into the Night".

I definitely don't regret buying "K" but I do regret a few record shop buy-before-hearing purchases. Les Savy Fav, Turin Breaks(!) a lot of post-Strokes records that didn't date well. Best Coast, Vivian Girls.

Watched "Maldoror"[2024], excellent, based on true story Belgian crime movie with the terrific Anthony Bajon (from "Junkyard Dog"). A bit of inspiration taken from Zodiac with the obsessive cop following every little lead over a long period of time and at immense personal cost

Led Zeppelin III was released OTD in 1970. Conceived in a remote cottage in Snowdonia, it is one of the great records that came from the era of bands 'getting it together in the country'. Read about Zep 3 and other albums made in that fashion here:

Just been reminded that the practise of pop bands printing the lyrics to their songs on the album sleeve, started by the Beatles, was inspired by a Spanish teacher hoping to help his students learn English

Instant recall of Brass Eye sketch set in Coswick every time I read those "the country/city/West is in decline" tweets. 'And last year, the mayor gave them a goldmine. It actually worked for a bit, this, until someone clogged it up with sick!'
