I'm all for reducing the number of libraries folks have in their apps. But the alternative to no libraries is to literally implement (or generate and maintain) everything yourself -- which is madness beyond toy projects. Find libraries/authors you just, and work with them.

Something I notice about a lot of the various signals implementations: they presume you want to store the value *in* the signal. In my work, I almost never do. I want to manage a signal associated to some data, but its not a store. Wonder if there's a missing even simpler primitive ...
