Spent the weekend volunteering at my niece’s dance recital selling snacks during the shows and intermissions, and being on my feet for a combined 10+ hours on Friday and Saturday has left me pretty damn tired. Now that I’m home after my 1.5 hour drive, I’m ready to relax!

A plant I bought a little over 6 years ago to celebrate getting the job I was laid off from in March is on its last legs and I’m so sad. I suppose it’s fitting, but it’s sad just the same.

Today I turned 45 and spent the day with my sister’s in-laws. I got cake and it was delightful. Oh yeah, and it was that other holiday too, but I like remembering my birthday first and foremost.

Spent this Christmas Eve / the day before my birthday getting my nails painted a glittery red, then treating myself to a sushi lunch. Now I’m home watching the snow fall and I’m feeling nice and cozy.
