@medium.com it is totally not acceptable that you need to be logged in to report a post or user. I have discovered someone trying to get people to echo a base64 encoded script directly into zsh and I want to report them. I will not be setting up an account to do so. How should I proceed?

On Monday I had a great session with tuition.io as part of the @mainmatter.com Ember Initiative. I've been working with their talented engineer Cory for months to get them onto the most modern @emberjs.com best practices, and even pushing the boundaries of what that means for the whole community 🎉

I had yet another fantastic pairing session with @discourse.org yesterday as part of the @mainmatter.com Ember Initiative 🎉 Most of our sessions are about the finer details of the @vite.dev migration, this week we were finally trying to get tests running in CI to see how far we are from the goal 💪

We had an amazing session with @discourse.org today in the Ember Initiative 🎉 Over the past few months we have been working on adding @vite.dev support to their main @emberjs.com app and we are getting very VERY close to getting a mergeable PR.

Ember now builds on Vite by default (has worked for some time actually). I am truly amazed by the ability of Ember, even being old, less popular and less sponsored, to keep reinventing itself in a good way: providing strong backwards compatibility and a clear path forward without stagnating in time.

@chris.manson.ie's herculean efforts are why vite landed in 6.8 🎉 Shipping proper (deprecations, CLIs, docs, tutorials, etc), is A TON of work, and the community helped get us there - esp on the docs and tutorials side - thank you to all who submitted a PR, opened an issue, or chatted in Discord!!

I've just been made aware of the term "work slop", and I have had an epiphany LLMs have amplified the Dunning-Kruger effect in the workplace. People who don't understand why things are wrong are pushing LLM slop on experts who have to review and constantly push back across the confidence gap.

"velocity has a direction in a very high dimensional vector space" is a very @eaf4.com quote and a great thought to leave us with in a closing @emberfest.eu keynote 🎉

Just had the weirdest bug...11ty was taking 500sec to rebuild on our designer mac for every change. Me and @chris.manson.ie bisected the problem but it was a very innocuous commit...turns out the slowness was caused by the author name being uppercase...lowercasing it produced a x6 reduction 🤯🤯🤯 wtf

There's no way to scare me faster than telling me you have a REST or ActiveRecord API. These "formats" are lossy - they fail to communicate many key bits of information about the data in transit. Use jsonapi.org folks, stop building brittle endpoints 🙈
