I had a similar experience in a restaurant in Cannes where asking for veggie options was met by the waiter with a "why are you vegetarian?", some laughing, and then fetching the chef from the kitchen to point at us and share the hilarity. I've asked before, but is anyone else having battery management issues on their Google Pixel phone with recent updates? With the last but one update my phone would suddenly drop from 50s% to 20s% within a minute or two, then when it reaches 20%, would drop to 1% at a rate of 1% every 3-4 seconds.
