This paper is really important on several different levels. It explains barriers to healthcare, expanding on existing #Autistic theories. It explains complex ideas in accessible language using participants’ own words. It’s a study by a #research team in which everyone is Autistic. Ground breaking.

Autistic researchers talk to autistic people about "triple empathy problem" barriers to healthcare, and why "Autistic people live with more mental and physical health conditions and, on average, die younger than non-autistic people despite widespread commitments to tackling these issues."
