Had a fun evening visiting the TCL Chinese Theatre for the first time. Felt right to see the 50th anniversary Jaws there where it was playing back in 1975 as well

Doing a trip to LA for my birthday, starting out with a stop at Disneyland. We got to say hi to the Fantastic Four, as well as actually see some rare new Roger Rabbit stuff. Plus a poster for King of the Hill at Disneyland was unexpected

I did like the OutATime cookie and the Romulan Ale of the themed food. And the overlay of Quark’s Cafe was rad, with lots of little touches that even a Star Trek dilettante like myself can appreciate.

Went down to LA for a trip to Universal Studios Fan Fest with theme park pals. It was Halloween Horror Nights w/o the scares, which is great for a coward like myself. Back to the Future, One Piece, Star Trek, Yoshi and Dungeons & Dragons were all a lot of fun. While the food that was hit or miss

We spent our Sunday morning in North Bend to celebrate us finishing our watch of the original Twin Peaks/the life of David Lynch. Twede’s Cafe has pretty good coffee and fairly decent cherry pie (I also liked the biscuits & gravy), but really you’re there to experience this iconic filming location

After we went to RR in North Bend, we also checked out the location of the Twin Peaks sign, the bridge where Ronette walks, and the beautiful Snoqualmie Falls. We had some amazing weather today, perfect for some casual nature walks

Had a great weekend of Halloween fun. The hubby and I did a marvelous couples costume of Peter B. Parker & Hank McCoy! At a party, I enjoyed character-appropriate pizza. Plus I met Mr. Satan and an Alan Wake so meticulous he even gave me a manuscript page!

Had a cool evening going to the bookstore signing by Bryan Lee O'Malley for Scott Pilgrim’s 20th anniversary. Got him to sign the fancy new reprint collection and other stuff, so cool to see all the people in Seattle who showed up to celebrate it

Some more shots of Mile High Comics: Two hours flew by there, mostly digging into the long boxes. Though there were two other Spider-Man sickos were scouring all the copies of Amazing (fortunately no issues of Spectacular were mixed in improperly)

Another thing we did in Denver: Went to Mile High Comics This HUGE comic book store was advertised in so many classic comics I read as a kid, and now I finally went there. So much cool stuff in one place

Instead of flying home after a successful @talksimpsonspod.bsky.social live show, we made a special weekend trip to Denver. The occasion: we finally got reservations to Casa Bonita! We spent five hours at a restaurant I once thought fictional, full of lovely renovations & friendly staff

We had lots of good times on our Magic Kingdom day. Gotta say that we approve of the new Country Bears renovation (though we still miss the OG version). It probably helped that we got to meet Big Al right after. Also got a pic with Sonny Eclipse, the king of Tomorrowland!
