My first real trip back from surgery and I’m so thankful that I got to celebrate these fantastic students - our first @khourycollege.bsky.social grads in Miami. We’ll miss their care, resilience, and leadership, but look forward to what they’ll do next!

Incoming sappy post. As we get into the flow of 2026, it has me thinking about the Challenges(tm) how they will evolve this year, and my own role working on these in some local sense. My priority will always remain the same - opening pathways, enabling change, and supporting people and communities.

I’m proud of two things this year at #SIGCSE25 - first, a best paper award for my paper with Khoury College colleagues on outcomes from our bridge program. Second, and most importantly, the ACM BPC award for my colleague Jonathan Mwaura and his internationally focused inclusion work.
