What a wildly stupid idea. Mandatory helmets and high viz is a proven remedy to reduce the number of people cycling. It effectively kills off things like Dublin Bikes. That's why no other EU country does anything like this. Pure madness.

In Dublin, on Fenian Street, there's a factory that makes child sex abuse material. You can pay it money, as a subscription, and that's one of the services it offers. This doesn't happen by mistake or because you've tricked or hacked the system. Itâs a feature.

Again, the people who seem to be most damaged by social media aren't the kids - who are quite good at navigating it - but the middle-aged, who get caught up in extremism, fooled by misinformation, trapped by scammers, and addicted to porn. Stop focussing on the kids. Start with the rest of us.
