In Texas, a woman was due to be released from jail. But they kept her in jail another 1 ½ months because her ‘release package’ hadn’t arrived. In Canada, you are released at 12:01 AM (the next day) on the day your sentence is over. Nothing works very well in the U.S. and no one cares.
