Playing Moon has me rethinking elements of Mimic Story's narrative (which I did start sort of writing) because this game beat me to the punch a million years ago about the narrative of the typical hero being a menace haha. Granted, my game is gonna be wholly different entirely.

Moon is a very strange game so far (good strange)

So I finally beat breath of fire 2. These are my thoughts. First the game has a required element as I stated prior - there is a catgirl. She is cool. The game itself however is a mixed bag. I enjoyed most of my time with it. It has some notorious old school things tho (really high encounter rates)

So I had leg day at the gym today and while tiring it actually didn't feel like the final boss of gym days today. Which means surely my trainer is gonna start ramping them up and I'm scared LOL.

I kinda wanna get the Ryza DX trilogy on switch 2 because I have only played the first one and I love Thighza but I also wanna find out how the switch 2 version is. 30fps is kind of a bummer but if it can just be smooth and stable and look good I'll live.

Despite feeling like ass most of the day, I had a good day overall. I feel really psyched that the gamemaker stuff I'm tinkering with is finally taking shape little by little.

There aren't too many games I've played that I straight up hate with a passion... but every now and then I remember my time playing Mega Man X6 and it actually might be my least favourite game of all time (or very close).

depending on how I'm feeling I may do a chill gamemaker stream tomorrow or something. Really depends on how my head cooperates with me (the weather being up and down wrecks me so bad haha)

I haven't played Legendia (unless you count like 2 seconds at a friends house once). I really would like to someday, despite its reputation. But I adore the OST. This song is kinda funny but also really cool/good.

Been rewatching Hellsing Ultimate and its so funny how different I percieve it now vs when I was a lot younger. I still absolutely love it (and the manga!), I feel like I enjoy Hellsing even MORE now because I don't think back then I could appreciate the insane amount of posing and funny monologues.

This is really lame, but not unexpected from square. They've been making stupid moves like this for a while now. But it's still really disappointing in general that such a big company is all in.

worked on a comm a bit, and then coded stuff on stream today. Accomplished now : getting a button to be generated for a UI layer at runtime and that was rad, also the button works (to end the game of course hahaha). Now I feel like the rest should fall into place much easier.

Augh and now windows wants to update when I restart hahaha hopefully this doesn't take too long. My audio driver just said "nah bro" to my face haha. That usually doesn't happen!

I'm a heavy dose of the first flavour, I create for myself primarily. But when sharing work, when people like stuff ofc it's nice. That metric to me isn't counted by numbers as that is not my motive, but when people say nice things to you it is encouraging :), makes my day a bit brighter yknow?

I'm actually starting to get more used to working with the gamemaker ui layer system bit by bit. I do hope we get a less involved process someday to generate new nodes with instances/assign instances to nodes at runtime but it is possible to do it if you know how, so that makes me happy :).

I love the feeling of submitting a gamemaker bug report on something and then it turns out to actually be a bug and not just me being an idiot haha. It feels like I'm doing things "right" and have learned things and can spot when things go wrong that aren't my fault now.

I'll be streaming comm work today in the afternoon sometime, not sure when exactly. Gonna wait for the sun to pass over our unit otherwise I won't be able to see easily on my computer screen haha. But I'm feeling good enough for it!
