I really wish this game got a sequel to iron out the issues. I really like this game and think about it from time to time.

Spent a little more time today doing some display and camera setup in gamemaker. Was watching Pixelated Pope's videos to do a refresher on some stuff because it's been a bit. Hooked in my display system to my pubsub as well for certain things. Slowly but surely getting there 😅

I like drawing in the new sketchbook Lyn got me because it takes ink well so I actually end up inking the sketch if I like it and turn it into a finished piece.

Spending most of my day refactoring a lot of my framework in gamemaker. Trying to unify and clean it up. Running into a few bugs but slowly squashing them all. It will be nice when it's all done because everything will be running off the same base classes and component system under the hood.

Slowly but surely now refactoring some of the existing back end stuff in my projects to use a similar setup to how I got my UI system going. I feel like things are finally clicking and hopefully very soon I can start focusing less on building a framework and more on developing gameplay ideas!

I think Capcom really needs to do another Mega Man game with designs by Toru Nakayama again. Imo, my favourite mega man artist (and one of my favourite artists in general).

#2025年自分が選ぶ今年の4枚 ここ数年で一番らくがきの枚数が少ないかも。今年は良くも悪くも、気付きの多い一年でした。らくがきの更新は少なかったけど、下半期はわりと調子が安定していたので、来年もこの流れでなんだかんだと絵を描いていられると良いなぁ。

2026 soon... 10 years ago was a really bad time for me. A huge, really awful mental breakdown was bubbling under the surface which would eventually crack near the end of that year. It sucked for me and everyone around me. I got my shit sorted eventually in 2018 onwards but it took time and effort.
