Following compelling evidence presented at #PHC2026 this week, showing the causal links between racism and health inequities in Australia as experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, we have officially moved and endorsed a statement declaring racism a public health emergency.

Two of our team members, Tambri Housen and James Flint, have been deployed to East New Britain Province, Papua New Guinea through GOARN, the Global Outbreak Alert and Response Network, to support the Cyclone Maila response.
