This week I started listening to Buck-Tick for the first time. Atsushi Sakurai's voice is soothing like an angel's. I already knew him for his looks, but now I admire him even more for his talent and kindness. I felt the need to draw him, maybe as way to thank him for blessing us with his work. 🖤

I created my OCs shortly after the double-hitter sudden passings of both Sakurai Atsushi & Fujisaki issei … Because they meant so much to me- both not only saved my lives, but helped me SO MUCH in finding myself within my queer identity, I wanted to find so way to immortalize them… and so I did. 🥹

i wonder how many other more… middle aged trans women went through a heavy scene kid phase in the 00’s that allowed them to play with gender presentation and androgyny in a much less judgmental way. since the entire scene was pulling inspiration from visual kei and their gender fuckery.
