My Kona #BEV is 5 1/2 years old & is a smidge under 125,000 miles on the clock. The WLTP for this car is 300 miles. Just completed a charge to 100% with predicted range on the GOM, which is usually pretty accurate, of 301 miles. So don’t talk to me about battery degradation.😎

It's a genuine question. There is no truly stranded renewable energy - where it is claimed there is, we should be building HVDC cables. Even if only 50% of the power reaches the other end and is not constrained, that is cheaper and better for the climate than any pathway involving hydrogen!

Please identify which of my charts is biased. For instance this one shows that every kWh of green electricity could achieve 2-9x more emissions reduction if used directly, rather than for making green hydrogen. That's not bias, that's analysis. It suggests your tedious work is bad for the climate.

Great to see @gwr.com achieve 200 miles range in a converted battery powered ex-London Underground train this week. I hope it leads to modern units deployed across the UK. On my trip to Japan last month I rode these 2 car BEMUs around Fukuoka. Here you see one charging at the turn around station.
