In 1994, at age 12, with the World Cup coming to the USA, I was discovering soccer and watching as much as I could. I fell in love with the US team. Tony Meola and Tab Ramos became my favorite players.

If I had a nickel for every time the World Cup kicked off with Mexico v. South Africa as the first match, featuring a host of the tournament, I'd have two nickels. That's not a lot but it's wierd that it happened twice.
