Three of these may have been a mistake.

I know this is mostly shouting (whispering?) into the void, but writing it out is helping me process my thoughts a bit.

It's also affecting the way I'm looking at my current possible job switch. I like my current job & coworkers more than most jobs I've had, but the future is not clear for it after another year or two and the pay is not great. But the lifestyle cannot be beaten, and it's a big risk to make this jump.

I was half-convinced I was having a heart attack a couple of days ago and my reaction wasn't terror or dread or even relief, it was just sort of "okay; I guess that's it then." Like there's some things that I'd like to do in my life still, I guess, but there's nothing big that is keeping me here.

Expecting nothing and still being disappointed. It’s a way of life.
