The NRA and other lobbying groups have spent billions convincing large swaths of Americans that anything other than unfettered access to whatever and as many guns as they want is an infringement on the 2nd amendment. It’s possible for sensible gun policy and the 2nd amendment to coexist.

At the same time it seems like a lot of younger rightwingers are openly embracing the idea that Hitler was right about a lot and we fought on the wrong side in WWII I don’t think people are prepared for something more extreme to replace MAGA post-Trump but it’s the direction they’re heading

Feelings don’t care about facts. It doesn’t matter what the data says - 81% of Americans *believe* crime is a major problem in large cities. Democrats need to establish messaging that addresses crime while also showing that MAGA is seizing on fear to strip our constitutional freedoms.
