Today has probably been the most eventful stream I have had in a while. Despite Twitch not counting lurkers as live viewers even right at the end when trying to raid out, I did manage to maintain a good average. Still not meeting what it was before they started throttling view counts. But, better.

Sorry, Pittsburgh. I don't get the hype around Slice On Broadway. Of the pizzas I've tried so far, this is my least favorite. Sauce is chunky and not enjoyable. If I have to pick large chunks of tomato out of the sauce, I don't like it. And the crust is bland. Not feeling this one.

Missing the point that social media requires people to actually use the platform. But, if you wanna drive everyone off the platform, fine. Then you can have fun with your inactive site once most users leave if it comes to that. Not to mention, there's already previews of Bsky+. We aren't blind.

This stream, I decided to have an extra window open to display what usernames were watching my stream. Though the whole stream, I had at least 3 to 4 people lurking and then occasionally a few other viewers show up. Only 1.8 average viewers, and 5 max. The viewers list showed something different.

IF YOU ARE GOING TO TWITCHCON, PLEASE BE VOCAL ABOUT TWITCH KILLING STREAMERS VIEW COUNTS! I'm serious. Be vocal. Chant loudly. Make protest signs and hold them up and march. And if there's a Q+A with Twitch staff, ask about view counts and put them on the spot in front of the whole crowd.

I'm not exaggerating. If you are going to TwitchCon, you guys need to stage some form of protest regarding their new updates. Twitch employees attend the con. And the people in charge of making decisions related to Twitch will see it happening. They need to know that we aren't taking this.

Streamers that have a usually CCV count of 100+ plus are seeing their numbers now average at 40 viewers while there's 100+ usernames shown in the watch list. And new affiliates are seeing their CCV go from being 5 to 10 people to now only 1-2 viewers. This shit needs to stop. Fuck you, Twitch.

I've been saying for weeks that Twitch's new update has effectively fucked over lurkers, and basically doesn't count them I even emailed Twitch Support about it, and all I got was copy pasted jargon about view botting so Yeah, if you've noticed your ccv drop, it's not just you It's Twitch

None of this matters because Twitch decided to fuck over every Affiliate, whether just starting our or pushing for partner. Because they decided they don't want lurkers to count as viewers. I'm so upset seeing my favorite streamers feeling defeated because their CCV isn't reflecting real viewership.

Twitch doing everything they can to kill off lurkers and hurt small streamers while catering to big name streamers is becoming so fucking tiring. Every streamer I'm following has complained about CCVs not matching the actual view count. Twitch claims it's due to bit activity. But, it's a lie.
