Today I had a missed call, when I listened to the voicemail, they said it was a hospital, so I assumed it was them calling for the liver ultrasound my GP referred me for. It was, in fact, not for that. See, at the appointment last month, I expressed my desire to start medically transitioning.

I got my A1c down to 6% in three months! It was around 12%.

It's kind of exciting when every time the nurse is here to do a bandage change both her *and* my wife are oohing and ahhing over how much more healing there is than the last time (sometimes only 48hrs in between!) Fingers crossed I'll be tubeless soon!

Tomorrow is one month since I had my first surgery to debride the necrotic tissue from my thigh. I'm feeling pretty good, all things considered, and my healing is going really well! I'm still not at 100% yet, and it's going to be quite a while before I am, but I'm extremely happy with my progress.

Hey, I'm not dead! I was like, half dead. Sort of. In hospital for 23 days! I'm home now and doing better but still on the mend.

Hey all, my reach here isn't very big, but if y'all could share this it would be greatly appreciated. This is my cousin. He's a good kid, and I just want to help get him home safely, but this is all I can really do from up here.

I am full of soop. Made homemade broccoli cheddar soup today, with some sourdough bread for dunking. Oh goodness was it so good.

Telly is doing amazingly after her procedure today. I don't think she's stopped purring since she got home. And they are most certainly happy purrs. She's bright and engaged, she's asking for love and attention. She even loafed in my arms and snuggled into my chest. I couldn't be happier.

We've dropped Miss Telly off at the vet. In about seven hours we can pick her up. Commence the anxious pacing around the house.

Well, we took Patella to the vet today. She needs a full dental cleaning, possible (and likely) extractions, and removal of a mass the vet is *extremely sure* is just inflammation, but will send to pathology to be certain.

Had to take Teddy to the vet today. He barely ate dinner last night, and then refused all food and water this morning. He also hadn't used the litter box for over 12 hours. All tests came back fine, the vet was very impressed with him. Gave him an appetite stimulant and we went home.

I received my PR card in the mail today. Which is very exciting, considering it wasn't supposed to arrive for another month or so. The best part was this little flyer they included. To me it reads as "Thanks for shopping with us today, hope to see you back soon!"

Ok, so as part post stroke therapy, as well as trying to pay my damn mountain of medical bills, I'm going to try streaming art things again today, and more frequently. I am hoping to do one within an hour or 2. I'm not going more than 2-3 hours. www.twitch.tv/kira_murasaki

Hey artist friends, do you have any recommendations for drawing apps for android tablets?

I just want to gush about my amazing wife a little bit. It seems that my time of the month now means 3-4 days of debilitating lower back pain. It's hellish. Muscle relaxers, tiger balm, aleve, CBD lotion, and *lots* of weed get me through the pain of it.

The only reply I got on Twitter is pussy in bio. Not helpful. We've put his air tag into missing mode so that hopefully it will ping iPhones nearby. I'm just gutted.

Went outside for a bit today, shocking, I know. But there were so many happy birds! A robin was singing in a tree nearby, a mated pair of pigeons were searching for a spot to build a nest, and a HUGE crow was taking branches back to build it's nest.

My wife and I have always joked that cats are like toddlers but Teddy really takes that to a new level. He has found the plastic spring toys today and is currently tearing around the house with one. But he'll get distracted every five minutes because he has to come watch CatTV in the office too.

Sometimes, the universe gives me good things. Have to go get bloodwork *redone* tomorrow, and they've finally started carrying the BodyArmor brand drinks up here in Ontario. That's a nice little post-draw treat for taste *and* rehydration!

Teddy is trying so hard to get Patella to like him. He sings to her all the time, tries to lay as close as possible to her, brings her toys and she just...ignores it all 99% of the time. She's very introverted, and I know she's trying, but every time she hisses at him, he makes the saddest cries.

Meet Teddy! Our new addition to the family. He's about 3 years old, the sweetest little man. He's a little doofy, has some slight permanent neurological symptoms from FIP, but is otherwise a healthy, happy little dude.

Because we're bringing a new cat into the house, I want them both to have a collar with a bell on it, at least until they're comfortable with each other. I am so glad that Telly is so chill about collars. Just happy little jinglebaby. A Telly-Bell if you will.

In a little over a weeks time, we'll be bringing home a wonderful sweet little kitty to his forever home. I cannot wait to post all the photos of this handsome little man for y'all to see. He's just the cutest little thing.

My Work Permit was approved! Now we're just waiting for my Permanent Residency application to get approval. What a fantastic Wednesday!!

Since fall weather is FINALLY here, I'm going to attempt to make one soup a week for the next two months or so. The plan is to make enough for dinner that night as well as freezing the leftovers for low spoon days. We're calling it Souper Sundays. Today's soup is mushroom beef barley!
