I'm drafting an article for how to make horses feel more alive in games (as opposed to being 'meat motorcycles') and on one hand, very fun topic I love it, but I also struggle not to be discouraged by the suspicion that MANY gamedevs clearly don't care to make the slightest effort in this direction.

Honestly a big part of why I insist on reviewing the cheap kids‘ horse games for consoles: no one else bothers, and if anyone writes about them they tend to not take the audience or the product very seriously

that being said, a few ideas from the top of my head: 1) how newborn foals' hooves look (they have tentacles) 2) that one study where horses learned to ask for their blanket to be taken off/put on 3) the greying process in general,i.e. how grey horses are born in any color and change through life

I had the audacity to only take Ourgon (old smol grey horse) out for a trail ride yesterday, so Azor (taller younger dark horse) decided to take revenge by eating my bicycle & helmet. also, new riding jacket is very nicely warm together with the heated socks and wool skirt, I was downright cozy 😌
