Time to focus on the net economic benefit of immigration. Don’t just argue Reform’s policy is cruel (it is but that argument won’t win) argue it’s ridiculous, the net benefit of legal immigration far outweighs the negative. How will they pay for it and how will they support sectors destroyed by it?

Under Reforms policy of deporting those with “indefinite leave to remain” status not in work - it would mean pensioners who’ve been here for decades would get deported. I’m sure the “protect the oldies at all costs” people will be in uproar.

Yes Reform's plans on indefinite leave to remain are a moral disgrace. They would also be an economic catastrophe, lead to chaos in public services, create a constitutional crisis and make the UK a pariah. It will be reported as "controversial".

My main observation from the last few hours of monitoring US social media is that Democrats are universally denouncing political violence and calling for calm while MAGA are escalating language and openly lusting for retribution against broad categories of people they identity as their enemies.

The only reason Mandelson is still in a job right now is because Trump visits next week and this would be embarrassing for UK/US relations potentially Trump would throw his toys out the pram and lash out at us. I literally couldn’t dislike America and their so-called president any more than I do.
