Statement on yesterday's SCOTUS shadow docket order. In summary: the Supreme Court is lawless, the Trump administration is too, Project 2025 connects them both together, and Congress must stand up to stop this lawlessness. And until that happens US science and medical research are doomed.

The Courts will not save us. The district courts have ruled judiciously, but a SCOTUS pocketed by Trump has repeatedly overturned them. We civil servants are doing our best to deliver on our missions - but we are under resourced and subject to retaliation. Congress: the American people need you.
