It appears that the result of this conference panel was a half empty room with protestors outside, a few disruptions, and most people either boycotting or showing support for trans people and protestors. They were not able to sneak a conversion therapy panel through to unsuspecting doctors.

I've noticed an increasing push by the right to use the same framing they used on trans people to go after gays. "They're sexual predators out to abuse kids." "Two men cannot biologically be parents." "children of gay men are being deprived of their rights to a mother and father."

This MAGA influencer lied and said he was with CNN to trick gay dads into being interviewed. Then he accused them of sexually abusing their child because they're gay. The right wing propaganda machine moved from "trans people predators" to "gay dads are sexual predators" without skipping a beat.

The right wing media ecosystem on X is going all in on attacking gay parents and adoption. They're pulling the worst tropes straight from the 80's. And it was all so predictable after they felt they'd "won" on trans issues and needed the engagement.
