DREADING this phone call with mom's lawyer tomorrow. She wants to hear - of course she does- the problem is, she WILL NOT keep her mouth shut. She interrupts the seconds she hears a word she doesn't like without letting anyone finish a thought. Brain tumors do not help impulse control.

Mom has been napping off & on all morning. She's still in PJs which is unusual. Told her it's Sunday, we can stay in PJs all day. She said she had another short seizure - so 2 for the day so far. Asked for ice cream - gave her lunch and ice cream.😂

Bad weekend for mom all the way around. She slid to the floor at 1am. These focal seizures continue - she's only had one today she said and it was really short but I can see her eyes darting so something is going on. She got her own breakfast this morning - some cereal and a banana - I'll take it.

I do believe she's having some focal seizures. She was talking about seeing blue lights yesterday and I assumed it was her feeling like she was going to pass out. Trying to figure out if I can get someone on the phone in oncology or if I need to call an ambulance. They are lasting about 10 seconds.

A month in and I have deemed the weekends are for nothing. Nothing in my world means I don't have to leave the house and I don't have to deal with banks/ lawyers/ bills. I do still clean, find time to make a sit down dinner, and this weekend I'm going to introduce playing cards.

Found a women's shelter that will take the dishes and stuff that can be washed free of smoke smell. The bedding and the clothing is likely a loss. Most places will not take stuff with smoke smell.

Mom's attorney is out of his fucking mind. He was supposed to call me Monday to schedule a time to go over the case. It's been going on for 2 years, I just got here. His assistant just called (I'm done today) and left a VM that they need an email so I can look offer a proposed settlement.

Found this rack in mom's closet. I've been using it to dry my clothes since I've been tall enough to get my own clothes out of the washer. I didn't have a dryer until I was an adult in my own apt.

Mom's BP AT the doctor's office 128/56 I brought up my concerns about the BP meds - he shrugs and says, "Just stop them" Uhm, ok. I found a THIRD BP med she's on. THREE! No wonder she's tanking

Mom is still snoring - looks like another successful sleep. Hooray! I think it's because we're on the other side of the radiation effects. Mid-week last week things were bad. She's not complaining of much this week as far as discomfort. Headache, but pollen is sky high. Radiation follow up today.

Mom is still sleeping - no idea when she went to bed. I fell into bed before 8. Got up at 4:30a ran 2 loads of laundry cleaned my bathroom door cleaned and polished a few large wood pieces I need to research to sell moved a bunch of shoe boxes of paperwork to the garage packed moms winter clothes

I have a shit ton of recycling to go out but have no idea if this is the week it picks up or not 🤷‍♀️ I put the can out to see so I know what I can load into it for next week. It's gonna be full.

People - pay attention to the old folks in your world. Came downstairs yesterday to hearing my mother on the phone. She got a text about a fraud charge on her phone and instead of calling the number on the back of the card - called the number in the text. I asked her to hang up immediately

While I'm not old enough to need a chair to get up the stairs, I find myself wondering if there's a rail and a box I can install to get the things I need to move up and down the stairs. Not heavy heavy shit like furniture but trash and laundry and kitty litter...

Earlier in the week I caulked over the spots I could see where the water might still be running down the wall after R's caulk party. I showered tonight - so far - everything is dry downstairs. Will check again in a bit but we might finally ACTUALLY have a fully functioning bathroom.

The walker was never delivered. Still reducing mom's BP meds. Her BP tonight was 120/60. I've halved the dosage of the other med she takes BID, we'll see what her BP is in the morning. She's still getting around fine but the one med is still making her very dizzy 2 - 3 hours after she takes it.

Really wish this wall had a door to a porch over the mudroom where I could sit and keep plants and the cats could go. #ThingsThatWillNeverHappen

Asked mom at reasonable hours yesterday if she wanted to bathe, no she wants to do it at 630 in the morning. 🙄 I haven't finished my tea She keeps saying she can do it without me so here I sit on the sofa downstairs. Just reminded her she needs a towel and clothes to bathe. We'll see how this goes.

Today we have a wide window for a walker delivery 10 - 3 so more house cleaning it is. I've been working my way around the semi-hoarded 'dining room' and am about to do what passes for a desk which is more of a catch all. Mom hacked her hair into a bob yesterday - it's uh, interesting.

Today was also a better day for mom. She's getting around better/ faster/ straighter since we stopped once of the BP meds at night. I'm having her do her BP resting where she normally sits rather than taxing her body to go to the kitchen and do it, we'll see what those numbers come back.

Dinner was not early, we have died of starvations. 🐈

Just found a hutch full of glass stuff. Looks like cut glass/ carnival glass. I need 2 or 3 other mes to do research on shit so I don't pitch something that might be worth more than I think.
