Not wishing to be cynical but, with current shortages of doctors and judges, most patients would be dead before a decision could be taken. I've discussed assisted dying with a Belgian friend; they have that option similar to NL and CH. It seems kinder to remove the fear of an agonised end.

Labour need to be better on how they communicate why they are increasing taxes and what it will mean. Amazon have signed this BRC letter warning of job losses but look at their increase in revenue in billions since lockdown. Same with all the supermarkets who have been price gouging since 2020.
