Look I know it's rude to take pictures of other people's phones but this is one of the funniest things I've ever seen

Anyway, if you see a profile using my photos but the age is under 35 and/or the height is under 6ft, it's 100% not me. I don't sell anything on dating apps, I don't use telegram or discord, I don't give out my phone number to random strangers. Don't be fooled by fake Cartas!

(I've also heard of people getting extensively catfished by "me" on telegram, discord, etc etc. Which makes sense; if you're downloading a pack of images to scam people with I don't know why you would keep it to a single platform)

(I don't think this is a Grindr specific problem, but their seemingly complete lack of moderation when it comes to obviously fake trans girl profiles must make it especially easy)

I don't think I'm famous enough for this to be anything more than a "right place, right time" thing... someone added me into the resources that scammers pull from and my photos became part of a canon because they did well, I guess? I've heard from so many people who have been catfished by "me"

I feel like there must be readymade downloadable packs of photos made by/for scammers, because imitators tend to use photos from a few years ago and I see certain images repeated over and over. I assume most of the scammers don't even know who I am, they just see like... dark hair trans girl dot zip

Traveling a little and I can tell you first hand: there are Grindr profiles using my photos literally everywhere I go. I can't tell if this is confirmation bias or if I'm being like... impersonated at a much higher rate than other people, but it's bizarre
