Very interesting novella and quite deserving of the Hugo this year! The audiobook version was odd, with two narrators handling different subplots. Both narrators had good performances, but the effect was distracting, particularly when characters overlapped. Have you ever heard of this before?

In retrospect, I think the choice to have very different types of abilities for each style is interesting! But also I like how Fire and Water bending are actually similar to the type of mana/payoff system I was envisioning. That allows flexibility for the different Water/Fire abilities in the show
