The commodification, oversimplification, and objectification of "Japan-ness" is exemplified by Obojima published by 1985 Games. It is NOT Japanese. It is NOT Ghibli-esque. It is NOT authentic in any way. They use Japanese culture, history, and media as a costume to create an appropriated fantasy.
