This scavenger hunt is so charming and smart and actively engaging. It gets New Yorkers out and about, exploring the city, talking to one another, taking advantage of public transportation and working toward a common cause. The levels! Itās just so great.

Almost all of us are the descendants of immigrants who fled persecution, or were brought to America under duress, or sought better lives for themselves and their descendants. Politicians who stoke fear and hatred over immigration want you to forget this. Do not.

my view is that everyone should be able to earn a living wage doing whatever it is they like. if you love working in a bookshop, you should be able to live a comfortable life doing so. if you loving being a barista, the same. and if you want to do more traditional blue collar work, thatās cool too!

one of the more endearing human behaviors imo is "tell 'em i say hi." even with ppl we don't know sometimes, if they make ppl we care about happy and you know they're on the line you just give a quick little "hi". we're like birds, just constantly making little companion calls to each other

We must stop debating the value of a human life. We certainly shouldnāt allow the capitalistic fascists to dictate who has value and who doesnāt It shouldnāt be up for debate. The value of a life isnāt a spectrum. We all have intrinsic value regardless of occupation, health status, nationality etc

1. Stop assuming people announce all their activism on social media. 2. Stop demanding people announce all their activism on social media. 3. Stop deriding people for not announcing all their activism on social media. 4. Dunking on people on social media isn't activism and isn't praxis.
