When I was a kid growing up in a hyper evangelical conservative area, crying was bad. Especially for boys. ESPECIALLY for sensitive, artistic, boys. I was shamed for it. But as I continue to grieve and find myself spontaneously tearing up, I almost welcome it. I’m no longer ashamed of my feelings.
