Got to play my first #fabtc super slam pre release, had a RKayo deck with 6 flex strength, bully tactics and big bully. Send 2 that totally isn't 9 is a neat play pattern. Went 3-1 loss was to a pleiades that stapled confidence to 17, then to 14 the i got chipped to death. Fun set but swingy.

Been talking with a friend about the recent #fabtcg changes, and he's been slowly convincing me that gold foils should be removed for PQs/RTNs and top 2 should each get a cool prize card instead. So often the GF is more desirable than the actual invite, which makes weird incentives at the finals.

Until a few strong players win then go play, where’s the achievement? You just dodged a challenge that would’ve helped you. If you seriously want to play at these big events, you should be itching to throw yourself against the strongest of players in the area, and this ruling should upset you

"what about the people farming gold foils?" okay first, if you're worried about those people, chances are they're already going to be at the PT second, GF envelopes suck and are overrated third, if you want more unqualified people qualifying, maybe look at people sitting on a bank of PTIs #fabtcg

"This just gives more players a chance" I see people say. A chance to do what? Win because the winners are gone? You can already win! You can already learn and improve! Armories are for casual players, Skirmishes too, do you not want to compete in this competitive event?

I recall the invite at my first PQ after London being passed down since I'd already qualified for Singapore(could be wrong, but was told this). If I were to top 32 the previous tier 4 event and qualify that way, am I still allowed to play a PQ? What about top 75 elo? Does an invite get burned there?

Hey @fabtcg.com, coming from someone who's never won a ProQuest before, who I assume this restriction is specifically trying to help, this is pretty lame. Having the top players in your region at PQs is what makes them fun and competitive, and this change hampers community building and fun.

I understand the intent of this policy. But I really hope @fabtcg.com reconsiders. So much of our local community is built on the camaraderie of all piling into a car together every weekend to drive several hours to all go play in tournaments together and this policy will significantly hurt that.

I really don't like this combination. If I get a PQ win early and my local PQ is later, I can't support them and they might lose the ability to run PQs because of it? Especially for a PT across the world that people are less likely to compete for.

This is such a horrendously terrible policy for #fabtcg qualifying seasons. How anyone could think that prohibiting players from playing in the FLESH AND BLOOD is a good decision is beyond me Want to spend time with friends, support your LGS, or get PT practice but you already won a PQ? Get fucked!
