Over the past few weeks we have been focusing on financial education, during this time we have been looking at Profit and Loss. Today we created a theme park and calculating the profits and loss, then working out the overall profit after a week 😊⭐️!

We are nearing the end of our class novel. Today we have been focusing on reading aloud to others. We have spoken about fluency, tone and expression. Any chance to read aloud and practise this skill at home would be a great help. 📚!

Tomorrow is world book day! If there is anyone who would like to bring in a book from home to share, that would be great. We are also attending the book fair tomorrow and will have another opportunity on Monday 😊📚!

Primary 6 have worked so hard to gather donations for Martha’s Food Pantry. Thank you so much for all your contributions. These donations will help so many people in the Falkirk community ⭐️.

This week is Dyslexia Awareness Week in Scotland. We discussed that dyslexia is a common learning difficulty that mainly causes problems with reading, writing and spelling. We thought about our strengths and things we struggle with. We also had a lovely time reading with P7. 📚

This week we will be focusing on times tables. Any opportunity to practise these at home would be great. Top marks has lots of free games and I have uploaded a BBC Bitesize link with songs and clips to teams that children can use to help 😊.

We started learning about how to lead groups of children in play. We looked at Safety and had a quick lesson on organising groups in a fun way.Thanks Mr Bannerman!
