I find it strange that copyright holders will bend over backwards scanning their film material at 4K, but won't take the same care with their interlaced analog video material, producing 30p blurry output from interlaced input. Can most consumers not tell the difference between 30 FPS and 60 FPS?

Prediction: Tron: Ares will be utter crap. By moving outside the computer, the screenwriters missed the point of what made the Tron properties special. But I'm still going to see it. Why? My son Sam wants to see it, so I'm happy to take him. And, I can still say I saw all Tron films in the theater.

Checked out my TRON 4K UHD disc. Holy crap, it's the most amazing transfer of that film ever! They (re)scanned it at 4k, and the results are so good, you can now discern the source resolution for the CG scenes -- even individual source pixels are sometimes visible. Breathes new life into the film.

Super disappointed that Disney did not even try to fix the jank de-aged Flynn in the 4k UHD release of TRON: Legacy. It looks just as terrible amd wonky as it did in the theater. That said, everything else looks fantastic. The grade, dynamic range, and image quality are stunning.

I managed to buy a laptop with a copilot key not realizing that it can't be set to act as the ctrl key, and all workarounds ignore the fact that the hardware actually sends "win+shift+f23", taking over the shift button and making shift+ctrl+arrow key selection impossible. Well. NO. MORE. COPILOT.

My friend Roberta lost the fight today. She had multiple cardiac arrests and had been in a coma for over 2 weeks. I feel increasingly duped by CreatorVC projects. I've backed them all, but the "wikipedia pages as video" formula only works if the source material is diverse.
