Visit to new Sydney Fish Markets on Easter Sunday; certainly heaving with people, & generous scale of stepped terraces on 3 sides very popular. Inside big traditional grid market plan, fused with shopping mall travellators in centre. Great that itâs open to elements-netted perimeter 1/2

Many cities are demolishing their high-rise public housing (Iâm looking at you Melbourne!) Paris is bucking the trend by refurbishing. These 101 apartments originally build in 1976 were reclad with new insulation on the outside and look great! By Ithaques

The humble & affordable 3 storey walk up flats, so common in 60âs-80âs, canât be built today; -no lift -needs sprinklers & pumps -slabs too thin -no thermal or acoustic insulation -parking non-compliant -windows too open List goes on & makes housing all the more expensive, esp what should be easy

Strongly agree that most prized Dept of Defence lands should never be sold off - Victoria Barracks, Spectacle Is, Middle Head. But other sites more suitable, like 48ha Bundock St site in Randwick. Our master plan in 2000 only partly realised - enviro park & ephemeral wetlands, community centre 1/2
